Humanitarian Relief for Ukraine Coordinates Across Texas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Ukrainian officials are meting with government officials, volunteers, and the private sector in North Texas as war continues to rage in Ukraine.

Vitalii Tarasiuk, Consul General of Ukraine in Houston, met with Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson on Monday as he visits Dallas to speak with the Ukrainian community and the community-at-large about the war in Ukraine.

“We are defending democracy in the whole world,” said Tarasiuk. “And for that we need the right tools. That’s why Ukraine constantly asks our friends and partners to provide us with those tools to help protect us from this evil.”

The Consul General was accompanied by Andrii Protsan, Assistant to the Consul General; Nataliya Shtanyuk, president of Ukrainian Cultural Club of Dallas; and Michael Balahutrak, Head of Ukrainian-American Cultural Club of Houston.

Mayor Johnson presented Consul General Tarasiuk with a copy of a resolution, passed unanimously by Dallas City Council, condemning Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
