Ground Broken on Site of National MOH Museum in Arlington

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday on the site of the new National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington.

Dignitaries in attendance included former President George W. Bush, his wife Laura, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, and others.

“I really don’t miss much about being President,” President Bush said. “I mean I miss being pampered, Air Force One, constant desserts. But I’ll tell you, Laura and I really miss being with the military and their families.”

Living Medal of Honor recipients, and families of those who have died, were also on hand for the event that was moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper.

The National Medal of Honor Museum is being built near AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and Six Flags in Arlington. It is scheduled to open in 2024.
