DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Ukrainians living in North Texas held a rally in support of their native country late Friday in Downtown Dallas.

A caravan of cars draped in blue and yellow Ukrainian flags and banners honked their horns at a crowd of supporters holding banners that read “Stop killing my family,” and “no war.”
“My family hasn’t left the basement in two days,” said a rally organizer. “My family is 45 minutes away from the Russian border. They can see the tanks and the air missiles. They woke up two days ago to a sky full of missiles. They don’t deserve that.”
She pleaded with world leaders to help end the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and said the Kremlin doesn’t care about Ukrainians.
“This needs to stop,” she said. “The world needs to find a way to save Ukraine.”
Ukrainians in Dallas and across DFW plan to hold more rallies. Their intent is to spread awareness of what is happening in Ukraine.
