
Atlanta (WBAP/KLIF) – A Leander resident accused of posting a message on Craigslist after the 2020 election calling on “patriots” in Georgia to “put a bullet” in three government officials has pleaded not guilty to a felony criminal charge. 54 year old Chad Stark and his attorney made a video appearance Friday before a U.S. Magistrate in Atlanta.Stark pleaded not guilty to one count of communicating interstate threats. He remains free on bond. According to the Justice Department Stark’s prosecution is the first criminal case brought by its new Election Threats Task Force that was created last summer. Prosecutors have not named the officials who were threatened. The Justice Department says it has dozens of similar investigations underway.
