Voter Registration Deadline Is Today

(WBAP/KLIF) — The March primary elections are just around the corner. some key races include the Republican primary for Texas governor, pitting incumbent Greg Abbott against Don Huffines and GOP Chairman Allen West. For attorney general, Republican incumbent Ken Paxton faces competition from George P. Bush. In the Democratic primary for Dallas County District Attorney, John Creuzot faces off with Elizabeth Frizell.

Election day for Republican and Democratic primaries is set for Tuesday, March 1st, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early voting occurs on february 14th through the 25th, with the the last day to request a mail-in ballot on F ebruary 18th. According to the Dallas Morning News, polling sites must allow those in line by 7pm the ability to cast a vote.

Residents wishing to cast a ballot in the March 1st primaries must be registered by the end of the day, today. You can check your voter registration with your county elections administrator or on the secretary of state’s website, www.votetexas.gov.
