Texas Receives Additional Border Help

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas continues to receive support from other states in battling the border crisis. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is set to travel to the southern border to visit his state’s national guard troops.

The Bismarck Tribune reports Burgum will travel to Texas next week to visit with soldiers from the Bismarck-based 957th Engineer Company. The unit was deployed in early October to serve at the border for a year, supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.

Governor Greg Abbott is not expected to meet with Burgum, but has been appreciative of support from North Dakota, Florida, South Dakota, Missouri, Tennessee and other states.
