(WBAP/KLIF) — The rise in people attempting to cross the southern border is causing concern among citizens in the area. Rio Grande City Mayor Joel Villarreal believes he has a solution to the problem.
Just this week, four MS-13 gang members were caught in the valley. The Texas Department of Public Safety has serious concerns about the element crossing the border into texas. DPS Lieutenant Christopher Olivarez says so-called “got-aways” and gang members continue to be of major focus.
This comes as two migrant caravans of nearly 12,000 illegals are heading towards Arizona. Olivarez and Villarreal both appeared on “Fox News Live.”
