Mansfield, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – An Amber Alert triggered Saturday near the in Brownsville led to an arrest early Sunday in North Texas of the 18-year-old man accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl.
The Mansfield Police Department released dramatic bodycam video of the arrest as officers approached the car were the two were sleeping.
In the bodycam video, suspect Clayton Phillips is seen being pulled from the car, and detained.
The girl and young girl, Antonette Rodriguez is in the passenger seat. Medics were called to the scene to examine her.
Mansfield Police had received a tip from the Brownsville Police Departmetn that the pair my be in their city.
Police say the pair had recently met online.
Police were able to reunite the girl with her family.
