(WBAP/KLIF) — The city of Dallas plans to deliver COVID vaccines to local neighborhoods. Dallas mayor Eric Johnson unveiled the “Mayor’s Neighborhood Vaccine Initiative”, Thursday, to distribute COVID-19 vaccinations during neighborhood pop-up events.
The city, along with the Caring Foundation of Texas’ “Care Van Program” will co-host three vaccination events in coming days. The first will be Friday, April 30th, at Bishop Arts Theatre Center in North Oak Cliff. The second will be Saturday, May 1st, at LG Pinkston high school in West Dallas. And the third event is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 4th, at Jubilee Park Community Center in South Dallas.
The initiative partners with private providers to distribute vaccines at neighborhood pop-up events. According to mayor Johnson, “It has never been easier to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Dallas, but we are still working hard to eliminate all remaining barriers to receiving these lifesaving vaccines.” The following locations will have the vaccines.
