CARROLLTON (WBAP/KLIF) – A memorial service will be held later this weekend for a long-time North Texas fire Captain.
Carrollton Fire-Rescue Captain Lee Holbert died this week after suffering a stroke earlier this month while on duty. Assistant Carrollton Fire Chief Debbie Carpenter said Captain Holbert served the community for decades.
“Captain Holbert would have been with the Carrollton family for 31 years this November,” said Carpenter.
Plans for a memorial service are underway.
“It will be a line of duty death service with full honors,” Carpenter insisted.
First responders from across the region have extended condolences and to Carrollton Fire-Rescue since learning of the Captain’s death.
