Fort Hood (AP) WBAP/KLIF – Amid public outcry over a series of homicides and allegations of sexual misconduct at fort hood, the US Army has ousted the post’s top commander, Major General Scott Efflandt; he was also denied a pending transfer to Fort Bliss in El Paso.
The change was announced amid a widening investigation related to slain Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen.
Army Major General John B. Richardson IV, (pictured right) formally assumes duties as deputy acting senior commander of Fort Hood today.
Another high ranking army official will lead an in-depth investigation into the chain of command actions related Guillen’s sexual assault and harassment allegations before her disappearance and death.
