Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – The Frisco ISD is moving to a virtual environment for the first three weeks of the 2020-21 school year, due to what it says is the “rapidly changing stiuation with COVID-19 and information from the Texas Education Agency.” In an email to parents, the district said the first day of school will remain August 13th, but the board approved moving three staff development days to provide teaching and staff training earlier in the school year. These non-instructional days for students are now August 21, August 28 and September 4th. District leaders plan to return to on-campus instruction on September 3rd for those students who have selected in-person learning. Instruction will continue online for those students who have selected the Virtual Academy.
