Reno, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – It was a fiery end to a police stand off in Reno (north of Fort Worth) last night, after 3 officers were met with gunfire while responding to a domestic disturbance at a home. A woman had called police to report that her son had a gun and was shooting at people.
A Reno police officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries; a Parker County sheriff’s deputy was hit and care-lifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth with unknow injuries after being fired on when they arrived to the scene around 6:00 last night.
Police say that after the suspect barricaded himself in the house, it went up in flames late last night. At least one person was found dead inside around 7am on Friday.
The Texas Rangers are investigating.
