South Dakota-AP (WBAP/KLIF) – As cases of novel coronavirus continue spike in much of the nation, including Texas, comes word that Kim Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr. and a top Trump campaign fundraiser, tested positive for coronavirus ahead of the president’s speech in South Dakota on Friday.
Guilfoyle, who traveled to Mount Rushmore to attend President Donald Trump’s July 4 kickoff address, was not in contact with the president and did not travel on Air Force One.
The Trump campaign said Friday that Guilfoyle was asymptomatic and was “doing well.”
“Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers! 🙏 I feel good thanks be to God,” she tweeted on Saturday, “and look forward to a speedy recovery so I can resume working to re-elect @realDonaldTrump.”
Ms. Guilfoyle attended Mr. Trump’s indoor rally last month in Tulsa, Okla. Before and since then, some campaign staff and Secret Service personnel have tested positive for the coronavirus. Herman Cain, a former Republican presidential candidate who was also at the rally, said this week that he had been hospitalized with the virus.
On Monday, Guilfoyle tweeted that she’ll be hosting a virutual fundraiser later this month:
Thrilled to be hosting a virtual fundraiser later this month with @realDonaldTrump! We WILL have the resources to WIN in November. The enthusiasm for the president is enormous! The support is there and President Trump will WIN! 🇺🇸 #MAGA #KAG

Meantime, Guilfoyle possibly exposed the wife and the running mate of Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Gianforte, as well as several other top GOP officials, after attending an event with the girlfriend of President Donald Trump’s oldest son, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported; several have self-quarantined.
Gianforte’s wife, Susan, lieutenant governor candidate Kristen Juras, as well as Republican congressional candidate and state auditor Matt Rosendale and state auditor candidate Troy Downing, were at a Trump fundraising event July 1 in Gallatin County with Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., the newspaper reported.
One 11-year-old and two teenagers died from COVID-19-related complications, according to Florida’s Department of Health.
The numbers drive home the fact that children and young adults are not immune to the disease.
Florida has had over 7000 children test positive for COVID. Texas has thousands as well. Will the @CDCofBC revise their WorkSafe Education advice that states that children rarely get COVID since the CDC have changed their advice as well? https://t.co/x71iaE1ZDD
