(WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says Governor Greg Abbott’s action to close bars amid a rise in COVID-19 cases is simply a pause in the reopening process.
Patrick on Fox News said state leaders must try to protect lives while also protecting a person’s liberty.
“Right now, let’s take a week or ten day pause and let’s watch those ICU numbers and let’s watch the fatalities,” Patrick told Fox News.
Patrick said it would have to take something catastrophic for the state to return back to a lock down.
