Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – Frustrated by news that he can’t re-open his California Telsa plant until June, CEO Elon Musk tweeted that his looking to move operations to Texas or Nevada “immediately.”
The tweet read:
“Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependent on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.” Musk continued, “Tesla is filing a lawsuit against Alameda County immediately. The un-elected & ignorant “Interim Health Officer” of Alameda is acting contrary to the Governor, the President, our Constitutional freedoms & just plain common sense!
The tweet didn’t go unnoticed by Dallas officials, including Mayor Eric Johnson who tweeted, “Dallas bound, I hope. Southern Dallas, preferably.”
Dallas bound, I hope. Southern Dallas, preferably. We think big here and we never take our eye off the future, even during a pandemic. I’m committed to protecting both lives and livelihoods in our great city! @GregAbbott_TX @ElonMusk https://t.co/q9v6ZnywPx

And, Governor Greg Abbott, quote-tweeted Musk’s claim using the eyeball emoji.
