Former North Texas Volleyball Coach Arrested, Faces Three Counts of Sexual Assault of a Child

GRAPEVINE (WBAP/KLIF)- Grapevine Police say a former North Texas high school volleyball coach faces three charges of sexual assault of a child. Amanda McNew with The Grapevine Police Department said 45-year-old Anthony Clark’s charges involve the same victim, who was 15 years old at the time when it happened over 20 years ago. She recently came forward in January. Police say Clark was a volleyball coach at Carroll High School when he met the victim outside of campus, and he worked for Lewisville ISD at the time of the offenses. Police said all of the crimes occurred in Grapevine, but Clark was never employed by GCISD. In addition to Carroll ISD and Lewisville ISD, Clark has also worked at schools in Keller ISD and White Settlement ISD. He is no longer employed at a school.

McNew said with Clark’s history working with schools, she is asking if anyone one else would like to come forward.
“We understand it is hard for victims to come forward especially if its been a long time…we certainly don’t want anyone to feel afraid to come forward,” said McNew.
Clark was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on Monday. His Bond is set at $25,000 for each
charge, for a total of $75,000.
