Update at 3:50pm:
The father suspected of kidnapping his two young boys and killing their mother has died.
According to Dallas Police, Officers responded to a welfare concern at an apartment residence located at 8850 Ferguson Road on Sunday. Once a key holder arrived, officers were granted entry into the apartment and found 26-year-old Latiffiney Rodgers dead. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the Rodgers’ children, ages 1 and 7-years-old, were taken by their father, 33-year-old Johnnie Ray Palmore. 
Homicide detectives received information that the suspect was in possession of the children at an apartment residence located at 6003 Abrams Road. Fearing for the safety of the children, SWAT was notified and arrived at approximately 7:30 a.m. At approximately 9:30 a.m., SWAT officers breached the front door of the residence and heard a shot. SWAT officers located the Palmore laying in a back bedroom suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to an area hospital where he died. The missing children were recovered unharmed.
An adult female and another child were also located inside the apartment residence unharmed. It does not appear at this time that they had any involvement in the original incident on Ferguson Road.
Update at 11:00am:
Two children subject to a Monday morning Amber Alert have been found safe and the suspect is hospitalized in custody. Police say the suspect shot himself and is currently in serious condition. Both children were unharmed.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas police have confirmed, that the mother of two black male children reported missing out of Dallas this morning has been found dead.
Police are looking for 7-year old Jorden Rodgers … 4-feet tall, 60 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, with long dreadlocks … and 2-year old Julien Rodgers .. 2 feet tall, 25 lbs, black hair, brown eyes.
They are believed to be with their father, 33-year old Johnnie Ray Palmore, black male 5’11, 155 lbs, brown hair, hazel eyes and gold dyed long dreadlocks.
The heir mother was found during a welfare check at Halston Apartments on Ferguson Road.

A representative with Dallas Missing Persons office told our newsroom around 7:45 this morning that they are investigating the possibility that the children may have been located.
They believed the children were abducted by their father, 33-year old Johnnie Ray Palmore.
