DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- A sudden surge of winter weather could be making North Texas roads dangerous to drive on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Val Lopez of the Texas Department of Transportation assures drivers that roads have been treated with brine as of Monday morning in preparation. But he also hopes drivers to their part in making the roads safe.
“We’re asking that if you can delay your travels during winter weather that you should but if you can’t you need to be very careful as you drive over elevated surfaces, you need to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination safely, and plenty of space in between you and other motorist,” said Lopez.
TxDOT will be on 24/7 action until the weather has cleared.
