(WBAP/KLIF) — Houlihan’s restaurants in Fort Worth and Prestonwood have shut their doors for good.
Houlihan’s parent company, HRI Holding Corp., filed for bankruptcy protection in November and have now been purchased by Houston-based Landry’s for $40 million.
Landry’s is owned by Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta, who also owns the NBA’s Houston Rockets.
Two Houlihan’s restaurants in North Texas will remain open, one in Garland and the other in Denton.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Houlihan’s has 47 restaurants in 14 states with assets around $80 million.
