PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – The brother of a man shot to death by a former Dallas Police Officer will be honored next week in Plano.
Brant Jean is the brother of Botham Jean who was shot and killed in his apartment by Amber Guyger. Brandt captured hearts across the country when he forgave Guyger on the witness stand after she was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He then asked the Judge if he could hug Guyger and she said yes. The two embraced for nearly a minute.
The Institute for Law Enforcement Administration announce this week that Jean will receive its Ethical Courage Award at next week’s Contemporary Issues and Ethics Conference in Plano.
Brandt Jean and his family are expected to be in attendance for the presentation Tuesday, December 3.
