DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The murder trial of former Dallas Police officer Amber Guyger continues. Guyger told police last September that she shot and killed Botham Jean after mistaking his apartment for her own.
Proceedings began today with Judge Tammy Kemp hearing from prosecution and defense lawyers about over the jury charge it will receive before they begin deliberating. The jury is not in the court room for the discussion.

On Saturday, Day 6 of the trial testimony was not in the presence of the jury. A forensic expert spoke about an officer’s state of mind in a burglary scenario.

When the jury entered the room, Texas Ranger David Armstrong took the stand. He said an officer in a stressful situation as Guyger described could experience tunnel vision.
After Armstrong’s testimony the Judge ended court for the day.
