FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) — A hearing this week related to the firing of Fort Worth’s former police chief could get heated.
The hearing is happening Thursday in Dallas County instead of Tarrant County district court and is related to former chief Joel Fitzgerald’s belief that his dismissal was in retaliation for blowing the whistle on cyber security problems in the city’s IT department.
Fitzgerald’s attorney, Stephen Kennedy, is expected to again demand that Fitzgerald be reinstated during the hearing.
Kennedy had also demanded in a letter that Fitzgerald be reinstated last week.
