Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The damage reports are still coming in after damaging high-wind storms ripped through the metroplex Sunday.
Most of the damage and subsequent power outages are reported in Dallas where some 250,000 customers are still in the dark. Jen Myers with Oncor says that power crews from Mississippi and Alabama are headed this way to help restore power faster.
There are dozens of dark intersections across the metroplex. Oncor Energy officials are warning drivers to treat those intersections as 4-way stops; also, to be alert for down power lines and live wires.
In Carrollton firefighters and police officers were busy Sunday responding to multiple reports of downed trees and power lines as a result of severe weather and high winds.
At an apartment complex In the 2300 block of Marsh Lane, buildings and vehicles were damaged when a utility pole went down.
