Fort Worth: Demonstrators Demand Answers After Police Shoot Armed Suspect

Demonstrators gathered at the site of an shooting involving a fort worth police officer Sunday.

A 20-year old armed aggravated assault suspect was shot and killed after police say he ‘became non-compliant’ during his arrest after a chase on East Berry, where protesters demanded answers last night.

The incident began about 4 p.m. when officers were looking for the wanted man. Police say they say him getting into a car with 2 other people and and tried to stop it. At that point 3 suspects ran off on foot; two were caught and arrested.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram captured the protest:

Police say the third person was found hiding in a nearby truck.

In a statement, police say that in an attempt to arrest the suspect, “shots were fired.’

The unidentified suspect was pronounced dead on the scene.
