DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – Three men are under arrest and face capital murder charges in the death of a man found in the street dead of gunshot wounds, in the latest spate of gun violence and tragedy in Dallas.
Dallas Police report the arrest and capital murder charges against 18 year old Jamie Israel Saenz and 18 year old Lupe Anthony Zavala. They say another man jailed on unrelated charges is now also charged with capital murder; 19 year old Carlos Rodriguez Quinonez.
All suspects are charged with the Capital Felony for the murder of 29-year old Nicholas Blake Edwards; found dead in the middle of Mahanna Street May 27th, just before 12:45 am. Police say witneses described two men enter a red Dodge Charger and flee the location toward Lemmon Avenue.
More than 40 people have been killed in Dallas since the month of May, in a rash of gun violence. Last week, a 13 year old teenager, Malik Tyler, was shot and killed while walking home from a store.
