New Industrial Business Park coming to Mesquite, Bringing Over 500 Jobs

MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF)- A $71 million business park is planned for Mesquite bringing over 500 jobs to the area.

The proposed project will sit on 80 acres off I-30, near the LBJ freeway intersection. “What’s cool about this project is that it’s going to be massive, encompass more than 970,000 square feet of industrial space,” said Wayne Larson with the City of Mesquite.

Larson said the project will bring great economic opportunities for the city. “With the $71 million dollar investment by Urban Logistics Realty it is going to spawn a variety of opportunities like bringing new businesses to the area, improving our tax base, generating over 500 jobs and impacting our tourism,” he said.

“This will really lend itself to the massive double digit population growth that has occurred in the DFW area in the last 6 or 7 years and will support the amazing expansion  of not only e commerce but consumer business models,” Larson said

Construction on the project is set to start later this year.
