Mr. Davenport and his co-owner had tried to address the crime around his business with a city council candidate earlier in the day.
“We told him, we call the police, we get no response. We have a tremendous homeless problem and we … need… more … police.”
His business is expected to shut down in coming months.
No arrests have been made.
