DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Witnesses testified Monday in the capital murder trial of a woman accused of hiring a hitman to kill her ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend.
Dr. Kendra Hatcher was shot to death in her apartment parking garage in Uptown Dallas in 2015.
Bonnie Jamison is her mother and says she was terrified the day she found out.
“There was pounding on the door, my phone was ringing and I crawled across the dining room floor,” Jamison said through tears while on the stand.
Moses Martinez is Brenda Delgado’s cousin and says she tried to get him to pull off a stunt with a baseball bat.
“She told me that she wanted me to just scare her and she says she would pay me,” Martinez said.
Delgado’s attorney says she was obsessed with the ex, but not enough to hurt someone.
She faces up to life in prison if convicted.
