DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) – Walmart celebrates the 6th anniversary of its “Veterans Welcome Home Commitment” by announcing more than 226,000 veteran hires since it’s launch in 2013. Their goal is to reach 250,000 by 2020. This effort is a way that the company honors our United States veterans. Walmart guarantees a job offer to any eligible veteran and their spouses.
Walmart is also celebrating their first milestone in its “Military Spouse Career Connection.” The company initiated this effort just last year and has hired nearly 6,000 military spouses so far.
Walmart’s spokesman Charles Crowson says, “If you have served this country and helped defend our freedoms, you have a home at Walmart.”
Since the start of this effort in 2013, Walmart has hired 27,081 veterans in Texas so far.
