FLOWER MOUND (WBAP/KLIF)- The Flower Mound Police Department launches a citizen camera program to help solve criminal investigations. Flower Mound Police are partnering with residents through a program that will access home video surveillance. Residents who would like to volunteer information about their home video surveillance system, such as a ring doorbell, can fill out a form online. If a crime occurs, police can search through the database to see if any home surveillance caught a suspect on camera.
Ring doorbell camera footage helped to identify a car and locate the man who kidnapped an 8 year old girl in Fort Worth over the weekend.
