New Orleans (WBAP/KLIF) – The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans takes up Texas’ attempt to cut off federal Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood. The state tried to do so in 2017, but was blocked by a federal judge. Since then a three judge panel of the 5th Circuit Court has decided the original judge didn’t follow proper legal standards. The full 5th Circuit Court has agreed to hear the case, and those arguments begin in New Orleans today (Tuesday).
