Summer Camp Looking for Donors

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) — A popular free summer camp in Dallas is looking for help after a major donor backed out.

The Dallas Metro Camp says they need to raise a little more than $40,000 in just a few weeks.

Executive Director Clay Wallace says he’s hoping for a miracle.

“We’re counting on people who see the need,” Wallace tells WFAA-TV. “And they want to invest in kids.”

The camp is a way for more than 400 inner city kids to go to summer camp for free.

This is the 26th year the camp has been open.
