HOUSTON (AP) – Officials say the city of Houston’s drinking water is safe to drink after recent heavy rainfall caused thousands of gallons of wastewater to be spilled at several locations. The city’s public works department says crews on Sunday continued cleaning up three spill sites. Officials say that while the city’s drinking water is safe, individuals using private wells within 1/2 mile of the spill sites should boil their water before using it for drinking, cooking or bathing.
