DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Officer Frank Dixon is officially the new chief of police for Denton Police Department.
At the swearing-in ceremony Thursday, Dixon said the department welcomed him with open arms. “The men and women at Denton Police Department are just incredible, they love what they do and they have a lot of pride and fashion in what they do,” he said.
Dixon has been a police officer since 1995, he said he’s excited to continue his career working with this department.
“I plan to honor it , get out in the community, find out if we can make some improvements but most importantly have fun and just enjoy it,” he said.
Dixon said he’s excited to serve as a leader for the city of Denton.
