Expect to See Body Cameras on North Richland Hills Police Officers, after a $94k Grant

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (WBAP/KLIF) – The North Richland Hills Police Department has issued body cameras to all sworn officers.

State Legislature approved a bill that allowed departments to receive grants to help fund the cameras, North Richland Hills Police Department received $94,000.

“The cameras provide an added layer of transparency and it helps us continue to work in partnership to keep our community safe,” Officer Carissa Katerkaru said.

Officer Katekaru said training for the cameras has been completed.
