DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Funeral services begin Monday for the Dallas Police Officer who was fatally shot in the line of duty last week.

It will be a two day process, beginning Monday afternoon with a celebration of life through a private mass at Cathedral Guadalupe for Officer Rogelio Santander’s family and close friends. Public visitations at the cathedral will begin at 6:00 pm and will last until 9:00 pm.

The public funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at Lake Pointe Church.

Santander was killed responding to a shoplifting call at a Northeast Dallas Home Depot. He, one other Dallas Police Officer, and a loss-prevention officer at the store were all shot, with the other two surviving.

The shooter was arrested later that day and is facing multiple charges, including murder.
