DALLAS, TX (WBAP/KLIF News) – Several North Texas Congressmen were among the passengers on an Amtrak train headed to a GOP retreat that hit a garbage truck in Greenbriar, West Virginia Wednesday morning

An aid confirms House Speaker Paul Ryan was on the train in addition to Rockwall Rep. John Ratcliffe, Dallas Rep. Pete Sessions and Cleburne Congressman Roger Williams.

Williams tweeted out that he was on the train and ok.

Sessions told WBAP/KLIF News “at least one of our members on board with me and a staff member are going to require concussion protocol.”  Sessions added “We took a licking”.

Lake Dallas Representative Dr Michael Burgess was seen administering aid to the injured people in the truck.  Senator Ted Cruz was also on the train and tweeted out that he was ok.

The GOP retreat will continue as planned.  President Trump plans to speak there on Thursday.
