DALLAS (KLIF/WBAP) — A new survey shows many members of Generation X want to eventually retire but say they don’t think they’ll be able to.
Generation X includes those born between 1965 and the late 1970’s.
The survey, by TD Ameritrade, found 37% of respondents said they would love to “fully retire” someday. However, they said they won’t be able to afford it.
Only about a third said they’re confident they’ll be “very secure” financially at that time. That’s compared to almost half of Baby Boomers.
So why is Gen X so far behind? And what can you do if you need to “catch up”?
