TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Tarrant County judge will rule on Wednesday whether or not the 16-year-old accused of Kaytylnn Cargill’s murder will be tried as an adult.
14-year-old Cargill vanished while walking her dog near the Oak Creek Apartments in Bedford on June 19th.
Her body was found two days later in the nearby Republic Services landfill in Arlington.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office report said Cargill died of “homicidal violence.”
Police arrested 16-year-old Jordin Roache in September and is being held at the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center.
Experts said its likely that detectives will testify to the specifics of the case and witnesses could be asked questions about the teenager’s psychological state and life before the alleged crime.
