DFW’s Holiday Travel Rush Featured ‘Orange Wednesday’

Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – It’s Orange Wednesday at DFW Airport, meaning the first one thousand drivers that showed up today ahead of holiday travel recieved e free parking vouchers. The airport does this every year to try and alleviate some of the stress associated with holiday travel. This year, DFW Airport is also giving 20-percent-off coupons for flights to Reykjavik, Iceland on WOW Air. One of the first thousand cars will also win two free round trip tickets to Iceland.

WBAP/KLIF’S Scott Sidway was among the throngs of air travelers at DFW this morning.

Scott talked with numerous travelers who were prepared for the one of the busiest travel days of the year. Arthur Heldt, who is flying to Minneapolis says even for an experienced traveler like himself, he had to take precautions. Heldt got to the airport an hour earlier than he usually does.
