Whataburger employee refuses to serve police officers

Denison (WBAP/KLIF) – Whataburger is scrambling to respond to an early Saturday morning incident in one of its stores. According to the police department in Denison, a city some 75 miles north of Dallas, two officers were refused service, and cussed out by a female employee of that franchise when they stopped there to eat shortly after midnight Saturday. In addition the restaurant manager who was on duty at the time reportedly did not intervene, only saying “I don’t get involved in politics.” Whataburger says that’s a violation of its policies. It has apologized. The foul-mouthed employee has been fired, and Whataburger says it is investigating.
