DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — A homeless man has been arrested in Dallas after reportedly attacking a group of women with a pocket knife.
Police say the incident happened Sunday around noon near the intersection of Main and Ervay. They say the homeless man was upset after he believed the women were taking pictures of him.
He reportedly began “ranting incoherently,” according to Dallas Police, then followed two of the women to an apartment elevator, where he cut them in the face, arms, and shoulders.
One of the victims escaped the elevator. The other was taken inside an apartment.
Police say a good Samaritan was able to hold the exterior door leading to the elevator closed, locking the homeless man inside until officers could show up and arrest him.
All of the injuries are considered non-life threatening.
