DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Rescue crews have suspended their search for five missing soldiers, one of them a Texan, after an Army helicopter likely crashed near Hawaii last week.

32-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Stephen Cantrell was from Wichita Falls and is among the five who were on a training mission when their chopper went missing.

Crews have searched more than 72,000 nautical miles, but have found nothing more than what appears to be part of the helicopter and a helmet in a debris field.

Investigators still haven’t determined what caused the crash.
