DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News) — A police chase that began in Lake Dallas Thursday night ended with a car crashing into a popular Denton bar.
The man wrecked the car around 9:00 Thursday night into a gate at the bar Riprock’s, which is on Fry Street right next to the University of North Texas campus. Video of the incident shows the driver holding onto the steering wheel with his feet running on the ground while the car lost control and crashed.

From there, Denton Police say the man got out and ran toward the UNT campus, where they were able to arrest him with the help of Lake Dallas Police and UNT Police.
No one was injured, and they’re unsure exactly how or why the original pursuit began.
