When it Comes to Safety, Texas gets a ‘D’

TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — A new report shows Texas drops the ball when it comes to safety. According to the National Safety council, Texas received an overall grade of D.
Labeled the first study of it’s kind, the report looked at more than 60 safety indicators and assigned a grade based on each states effectiveness at preventing injury and death.
No state received an A grade.
According to the study, the safest state was Maryland, Texas came in 26th.
Texas performed best in the ”home and community safety” category, were it finished 15th.
