BEDFORD (WBAP/KLIF) — Bedford Police say they’re still unsure of how a 14 year old girl died after going missing on Monday.
They say they have no suspects as of now, and aren’t even sure if her death was a homicide.
“Right now, we have absolutely nothing that points to a risk to our community in terms of further danger,” said Bedford Police Chief Jeff Gibson.
Kaytylnn Cargill’s body was found in an Arlington landfill Wednesday. Gibson says they’re still waiting to hear back from the medical examiner to learn the cause of death.
Still, Gibson was confident that based off the information they have, there’s no signs of foul play.
“I can’t deny the possibility,” Gibson said of more information later possibly leading them to change their beliefs. “But what I can tell you is that we have every one of our resources dedicated and continuously trying to figure out [what happened].”
