DALLAS, TX (WBAP/KLIF News) – Ted Cruz is one of the lawmakers urging President Trump to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord. The Texas Senator was a guest on WBAP’s “Chris Salcedo Show” and said “I think it’s exactly what he should do, it is what I have been urging President Trump to do for some time.”
Cruz adds it would be the best thing for jobs in America and the State of Texas, citing a recent study by National Economic Research Associates, that concluded the Paris climate agreement would obliderate 6 and a half million industrial sector jobs by 2040.
“That’s a big hit on working men and women….and it would have a particularly punitive affect on the State of Texas”. Cruz said the deal would decrease petroleum refining by 11%.
Senator Cruz also weighed in on the Republican’s efforts to replace Obamacare, maintaining his position to repeal the act.
