BALCH SPRINGS (WBAP/KLIF News) — The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer involved shooting over the weekend that left one teenager dead.
Balch Springs Police were responding to a call reporting several underage kids drunkenly walking around outside. Police say while officers were investigating, they heard gunfire and saw a car backing up toward them in an aggressive manner.
An officer then fired a shot toward the car, hitting a 15-year-old boy in the front passenger seat. He was taken to the hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.
The incident took place Saturday night. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded to the shooting and is investigating the incident.
