JUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) — Citizens of Justin are trying to get their town cleaned up after Sunday’s severe storms.
Most of the damage done was to people’s roofs, with shingles torn off and laying in yards and streets — but the city manager says there was plenty more damage caused by high winds.
“I know it’s kind of overwhelming when you have fences down and tree limbs down,” said Justin City Manger Cori Reaume. “So we’ll work with a contractor to get that picked up around town this week.”
She says the Red Cross is also providing tarps for people with roof damage, especially considering the fact that more storms are forecasted for Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Reaume says residents can check the city’s Facebook page for updates throughout the week on clean-up schedules.
“I think we’re lucky there wasn’t any more severe damage in town,” Reaume said, mentioning that nobody was reported injured Sunday night. “It looks like it was really just a lot of wind damage to the roofs.”
